Style Sneak Peek with Carley & Ellie

DTX - Blog - Carley & Ellie
When it came time to plan the design features and product packages for Brookfield Residential’s new homes in The Grove Frisco, our team relied on Design Director Carley Rolon, assisted by Lead Designer Ellie Kozan. The design team met with vendor partners, visited showrooms, and trusted their very chic instincts and years of experience to put together some wonderful options for Brookfield Residential customers.

“The homes feature sophisticated Modern Prairie, Traditional, and European-inspired elevations that include interior vaulted ceilings and an abundance of natural light,” Carley says.

“The style is classic, but it feels very current at the same time,” Ellie says. “In terms of the trends, we’re seeing cottage style and traditional elements coming back, but mixed with contemporary lines. Modern European is one of my favorite architectural styles — I would love to live in one of these houses!”

To put together the design offerings, Carley and Ellie dove into extensive research. They walked other model homes, talked to homebuyers, and met with vendors to find out what products and features were most important to customers. “We did a lot of research on both the exteriors and interiors so that everything feels high-end and luxurious,” Carley says.

Everything that customers see in the model homes (and much, much more) will be available at their design appointments with LeeAnn Lindell at Southwestern Interiors. “In the models, we made sure to use design elements that are all part of our program,” Carley says. “So often with other builders, customers tour a model home and fall in love with something, such as a stunning tile or a show-stopping light fixture, and end up disappointed when these aren’t available to add during their design appointment.”

Carley notes, “We’ve chosen options that we love for the models — we wanted to design something classic, so we pulled in dramatic elements like marble and gold fixtures, but we also have beautiful wood cabinets and warm wood floors that will stand the test of time.”

“There are hits of glamour, but it’s not cold,” Ellie says. “We were going for warm and welcoming, but still impressive.”

After almost a year of planning, Carley and Ellie are excited to see customers explore their selections and make them their own. “For us, the best part of the job is seeing how customers mix and match the choices to express their personal style in their own homes,” Carley says. “We’re looking forward to seeing this community come to life!”
